Stonington Kennels is a safe and friendly overnight dog boarding option in Goodrich, MI. We reserve the right to separate dogs if necessary. Larger breeds may require their own room. Each bedroom consists of a 4x4 inside room and a 4x10 outside covered area. The inside rooms are temperature-controlled with air conditioning and heat.

A day at Stonington:

7 a.m. - time for breakfast, potty break in the yards and a cookie
11 a.m. - potty time and playtime if applicable and a cookie
12:30-2:30 p.m. - nap time. Our pets need down time it is good for their mental and physical health.
3 p.m. - potty break and 2nd playtime and cookie
5-6 p.m. - time for dinner and potty break and cookie
9 p.m. - last call for potty break
10 p.m. - everyone gets a check over, good night cookie and lights out

We take each dog out individually or with housemates. Playtime is extra time out in the yards with us when we run, play with toys and cuddle. This is our time to bond with your pup. There is an extra fee for playtime, and you can see pricing for details.

We also give lots of cookies. This is another way to strengthen that trust and bond that we want with each pet that stays with us. We want them to feel safe, secure and loved while they're at our dog boarding facility.

  • Distemper
  • Bordetella
  • Rabies
  • Negative Heartworm test
  • Current negative fecal test done within one year of boarding


If fecal is not up to date, we will run the test here and a $30.00 charge will be added to your account. All dogs must have a current fecal in order to go out in the play yards.

What you may bring:

  • Your dog's food in a Ziplock bag with his/her name on each bag. You can bring it per day or use a larger bag for several days.
  • Medications and or supplements. Make sure your dog's name is on each bottle.
  • Any special medicated shampoo for grooming.
  • Treats (especially for dogs with allergies).
  • Rawhides or large toys.

  • Food and/or water bowls
  • Commercial bags of dog food
  • Blankets or beds (we have cots, beds, blankets and Tempur-Pedic beds for our older dogs and special needs dogs)
