Meet The Owners

Tracy was born in Florida on a wild game farm where both her parents were zookeepers. It's obvious to see why her love for animals runs so deep. She met her husband, Jim in college while getting her degree in clinical psychology. From there, she pursued an associates degree as a veterinary technician and is licensed in the state of Michigan. Her passion is animal health and behavior. "My goal is to help dogs and cats feel the love and compassion I have for them. When I can take a pup that has had a previous bad experience with humans and help them learn and trust again, then I know I've done God's work. My promise to all who enter Stonington's doors whether human or animal is that I will treat them with honesty, compassion, and serve them to the best of my ability." Tracy also finds passion in grooming, and specializes in geriatric and special needs pets.

Jim has always had a huge heart for animals! His first dog was a Keeshond and they have been his favorite breed ever since. He and Tracy own a farm, and he spends his time with the daily upkeep. They have 6 dogs, Max, Turbo, Lily, Odin, Brazil and Gryf, a cat named Dino, a horse named Patton, a goat named Penny and a flock of chickens. Jim plays an important role at Stonington, spending his time making sure your pet's environment is safe and secure as he is always helping make new additions, and repairs. Jim enjoys spending his time with his family and working on cars.
